NLL ALL-PRO TEAMS ANNOUNCED
April 19, 2000

The 2000 All-Pro Teams were announced by the National Lacrosse League today. Voting was done by the team General Managers and coaching staffs. Two Wings were selected to the teams. The results were as follows:

FIRST TEAM

(A) Gary Gait, Pittsburgh CrosseFire
(F) Jim Veltman, Toronto Rock
(A) John Grant, Jr., Rochester Knighthawks
(A) Tom Marechek, Philadelphia Wings
(G) Bob Watson, Toronto Rock

SECOND TEAM
(A) Josh Sanderson, Albany Attack
(D) Roy Colsey, New York Saints
(A) Ted Dowling, Albany Attack
(F) Paul Gait, Pittsburgh CrosseFire
(F) Mike Accursi, Buffalo Bandits
(G) Dallas Eliuk, Philadelphia Wings

The individual player highlights for the Wings follow:

Tom Marechek: Tied for the league lead in goals (41) and power play goals (13)...Led his team in scoring (67 points)...Led the NLL in three-or-more goal games (11)...Set new personal one-season highs for goals and points...Crossed the 300 career (regular season) points plateau during the season... Was the Week 4 NLL Player of the Week...Was named Game MVP twice this season...Second consecutive First Team All-Pro selection after being named to the Second Team following the NLL’s 1998 season...Was a MILL First Team All-Pro twice and Second Team All-Pro once.

Dallas Eliuk: Finished third in the league in saves (419) and save percentage (.763)...One Game MVP selection...Went over the 3,000 career (regular season) saves plateau during the season...Prior to this season, he was a Second Team All-Pro in 1992 and had been a First Team All-Pro every season since.
