FINNERAN TO SET INDOOR LACROSSE MILESTONE ON SATURDAY

Philadelphia Wings 10-year veteran Kevin Finneran will set a new milestone in indoor lacrosse when he plays in his 97th consecutive game on Saturday, January 22, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Mellon Arena (Pittsburgh, PA) when the Wings visit the Crosse Fire.

Finneran tied the previous record (96) on opening night (January 7, 2000) at the First Union Center. Former Wings Captain Scott Gabrielsen established the record of 96 consecutive games during the l998 season. The record for most games played in the sport of indoor lacrosse is owned by Gabrielsen at 106 games. Finneran could match that record this season should the Wings qualify for postseason play.

"I’ve been fortunate over the years to stay injury free," said Finneran. "I’m lucky to have had the opportunity to play alongside some great lacrosse players and also to have created so many great memories with this team."

After traveling to Pittsburgh this weekend, the Wings will return home to the First Union Center on Saturday, January 29 to face the Rochester Knighthawks in "WWF Night at the Wings." Prior to the game, Wings President and co-owner Russ Cline, Wings co-owner Michael French and Gabrielsen will acknowledge Finneran’s milestone achievement.

Great seats are still available at $25, $21 and $16 for the January 29th game at the First Union Center box office and all Ticketmaster locations.
