Wings - Saints Preview

New York hosts Philadelphia at Nassau Coliseum where the Saints posted a dramatic win over the Wings last season on a penalty shot with just 1.6 seconds left. The Wings won the first game of the current home-and-home series when Philly edged New York 15-13 this past Saturday night. Tomorrow night though the scene shifts to Nassau Coliseum where the Saints are 2-1 this season, and 6-6 all-time against Philadelphia.

Key Players: Philadelphia - Veteran Kevin Finneran will be adding to his pro indoor lacrosse record by playing in his 100th consecutive game (regular season and playoffs combined). Jake Bergey’s eight points last week against the Saints brought his career point total against New York to 24 in five games. He and teammate Tom Marechek have at least three goals each in each of Philly’s first four games so far this season.
New York - Mark Frye was the second forward taken in last September’s NLL Draft, and he is the second leading rookie scorer. His five-goal performance against the Wings last Saturday brought his season total to 15 points (12+3) in five games. Matt Panetta had five goals and five assists in the two games against Philadelphia last season. Roy Colsey has 11 goals through five games. Last

Notable: The Wings come in boasting the NLL’s best penalty killing unit (70.4%)...New York is the least penalized team in the league.
