April 11, 2000

Forward Mark Millon of the Philadelphia Wings today was named the National Lacrosse League’s Player of the Week.

The seventh-year pro beat out Syracuse goalie Derek Collins and Toronto forward Kim Squire for the award.

Mark Millon
Millon was the Game MVP of Saturday night’s 22-11 Philadelphia win over the visiting Buffalo Bandits, which enabled the Wings to move into a three-way tie for second place. The 28-year old had five goals and six assists, giving him 29 goals and 29 assists for the season. As a result, he has now set a new personal one-season high for assists and tied his points mark.
