WINGS
FOR WWF NIGHT AT THE WINGS
HEADBANGERS TO APPEAR AT WINGS GAME ON JANUARY 29TH
The Philadelphia Wings, of the National Lacrosse League, are once again teaming up with the World Wrestling Federation to host WWF Night at the Wings on Saturday, January 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Union Center.
The game will feature WWF clips on the arenas JumboTron during stoppages of play, WWF giveaways, WWF sound-a-like and look-a-like contests and a pre-event autograph session with WWF Superstars The Headbangers on the arenas concourse.
The Wings had WWF Superstars record commercials and promotional announcements supporting WWF Night at the Wings, including The Rock; Degeneration Xs New Age Outlaws; Mankind; Big Bossman; Al Snow; and the Dudley Boys. These announcements will play in arena during Wings games, as well as other events at the First Union Center and on USA Networks wrestling programs.
The WWF presents Monday Night Raw at the First Union Center on Monday, January 24. Fans attending the soldout WWF event will be encouraged to use their WWF ticket to receive a special discount on tickets to WWF Night at the Wings on January 29.
The Wings utilize theme nights to draw new fans via promotional opportunities to their games. The Wings previously have hosted South Park Night at the Wings and Jerry Springer Night at the Wings which attracted more than 17,000 fans to each game.
Individual tickets to all Wings home games are on sale now at the First Union Center box office and all Ticketmaster locations throughout the Delaware Valley. Tickets are priced at $25, $21 and $16. All Wings home games will be played at the First Union Center,
home of the 2000 NCAA Womens Final Four and the Republican
