WINGS GIVE FANS TASTE OF "HOLLYWOOD"
ON SATURDAY
LIMITED-EDITION MARECHEK BOBBING STICK DOLL AVAILABLE TO FIRST 5,000
FANS
Philadelphia Wings all-time leading scorer and 11-year veteran Tom "Hollywood" Marechek, who made famous the behind-the-back shot, will be immortalized when the indoor lacrosse team distributes a Marechek bobblehead to the first 5,000 fans attending the game on Saturday, February 28 vs. the Toronto Rock at the Wachovia Center at 8 p.m. This one-of-a kind doll, courtesy of Cooper University Hospital, features a bobbing stick and mimics Marechek's behind-the-back shot. "Tommy's been a tremendous part of our organization and it's great to see him recognized as an All-Star and with his own bobblehead doll in the same week," said Wings President Russ Cline. "We're pleased that Cooper University Hospital has partnered with us to provide our fans their own piece of Wings history that they can take home with them." Marechek is the all-time leading scorer for the Wings with 635 points (336G, 299A) during his 11-year career. He ranks fourth in all-time career scoring in the National Lacrosse League behind Gary Gait, John Tavares, and Paul Gait and has played 123 regular season games with the Wings. Marechek is a 1992 graduate of Syracuse University where he was a member of two NCAA Championship teams. The Wings will play three additional home games at the Wachovia Center this season, including Saturday March 13 vs. the Rock; Saturday, March 20 vs. the Anaheim Storm; and Saturday, March 27 vs. the Rochester Knighthawks.
