View Full Version : Lets not get too worried

Yes the Bandits are in fifth place right now, but I'm not too worried. Why? The Bandits biggest weakness is starting to vanish. The goaltending has begun to stabalize and the deffense is playing as well as I have ever seen it. The lack of offense is understandable. Remember that Malawsky was out for the second game in a row and JT had his first bad game. There are many scorers on this team, but there are only two great setup men on the team. With JT having a bad game and Malawsky out of the lineup the Bandits had to turn to Driscol to set things up and his better days are behind him. When we get Derek back in the lineup and the offense will come back.
We should have easy games in Albany and New York, so as long as we win in Rochester by two goals or more will will be sitting pretty!
BTW, I was very impressed by the way the boys shut down Grant. Couling was shadowing him everytime he steped on the floor and did an awesome job! SO GREAT JOB KYLE!

Wingeater You got to be kidding. Couling did a terible job against Grant on Sunday. Big John stats were 2G's and 3A's. That was one of Jrs better games. and it will be a whole lot different in our house on the 31st. Rochester 16 Buffalo 12. GO Hawks. Where were your fans Sunday. The 25 of us were louder than the 8000 Bandit fans. I hate when that happens

If you followed the Bandits you would realize that they usually let the stars from the other team get many more points. The fact that they held your team to ten goals is a real acomplishment. Don't be too over confident when they come to Rochester. If they can win in Toronto they can win ANYWHERE!!

If 2G's and 3A's is a great game for someone of Grant's caliber, then he should be far down the list on personal point stats. He's not. He's scored far many points against other teams and in other games. So I wouldn't count that as such a huge victory.
Also, as far as the Bandits go, Derek Malawsky has been out for the past two games. He usually pipes in a bunch of points for them as well as sets up a majority of guys on the team. I think not having him hurt the Buffalo offense. Plus, the guy's brother scored the game winner - I'm sure if Derek was on the field he may have had a bit more motivation to comeback and score a Buffalo game winner. Dowling hasn't done anything out there in the past 2 games. We need Malawsky back in the lineup.

Why the Bandits should be worried...
1) Rochester is beating the Bandits. They are a better team, and they're on a five game streak, and I don't think they're losing another game this season with the exception of maybe the championship game. Not to mention they're home, where Buffalo rarely wins.
2) Bandits will split with Albany or New York. Albany is still in the playoff race and will be in full force friday. The Saints will be playing for their first .500 season in four years. New York is a tough place to play. Buffalo could easily lose both these games, but I expect them to lose 1.
That will have Buffalo finishing at 8-6. Assuming Washington and Philly split, (and Philadelphia beats either Columbus and Albany), then the Bandits are OUT. Even if Buffalo does happen to go 2-1 in the rest of their games, Rochester, Toronto, and Washington all own the tiebreakers against them. Buffalo has also lost four games in a row if you exempt their free wins.
Bandits will finish the season in fifth place, however, I wouldn't assume that they won't finish in sixth or seventh at this point.

Hey guys I'm not saying Grany had a GREAT game in Buffalo Sunday I just think the dude was wrong when he said that Buffalo SHUT GRANT DOWN. I guess you all are right if 2G's and 3A's is a great night for Grant then He is not the second leading scorer in the league oops I forgot he is. I guess if 2G's and 3A's is an off night does that mean at home he gets 7G's and 4A's against Buffalo this Sat. WE WILL SEE who is on and who is off they're game. Hear me at the BC arena. I will be the loudest just like last Sunday in Buffalo.

Reason not to be worried- game in Buffalo Rochester only one by one goal, a two goal Bandits win saturday and we got the tie breaker. Reason two- Play the Attack Friday and Saints the last game of the season.

Wing Eater - holding the KHawks to 10 goals is not as big of an accomplishment as the KHawks holding a team averaging 19-20 goals to NINE! Kabeesh?

Uhhh... Rax... you guys are playing against Rochester, a team that beat the Bandits already, a team that is better then the Bandits, a team that has won five in a row. Oh yeah, I forgot... You're playing AT a packed Blue Cross Arena, where the Knighthawks are 4-1, only losing to philly by one goal on opening night, which I heard was contreversial. And one more thing... Buffalo might just be a bit tired.
But hey, even if the Bandits do win by two, these rumoured new tiebreakers im hearing about may mess them up.

Hey Buffalo fans drive up to Rochetser and watch the fun. Its ok to talk on the BB but it takes real fans to go to the opponents home turf and take the garbage from their fans . The family and I have done it . So just show up Bandit Fans. Go Hawks.

I'll be there with about 30 others tomorrow Hawkfan! I've got a bus load coming with me, the Bandits Booster club also has a trip running and I know of a bunch of others coming up on their own ... so there'll be Bandits fans in BCA!
I personally can't wait .... this'll be my first trip to Rochester.
