It's looking more and more like we're going with East and West divisions at this point with a rather wonky schedule. The rumours that have been percolating through the 'net for the past few wees seem to point in that direction, meaning we'll have a lot of games against the same teams. Darn.
Those teams in the east, a four team division, would play divisional opponents 4 times for 12 games (4 vs ROC, 4 vs BUF, 4 vs PHI) and out of division opponents for the remaining 4 games (a home and home series).
The teams in the west would end up playing their opponents 2x each for 10 games and the remaining 6 would be Out of Division (OOD) opponents, or 3 times each for 15 games with 1 OOD game. From the rumours that have been trickling around for weeks now, it's looking more and more like it'll be home and homes for all of the West teams.
This would mean that in the East, I would get to see ROC twice at home AND away, BUF twice at home AND away (Ooooh, I have season's for both teams! ), and PHI three or four times (depending on if my bank account can take the strain of 2 road trips to Philly...).
Man, if the rumours are true, there'll be a lotta road-trippin' goin' on. I'm willing to billet people at my condo who come up for games if they don't want to spring for hotel costs, there's only one catch: You can't be allergic to cats. ;)
See everyone this winter!
