Jake Lawson

If anyone can help, It would be appreciated. Did the Rebel realize when they drafted Jake that he might miss some games? How far does he haveto travel? Where does he work? As a longtime Wings fan, I want to see the newer teams gain a good start in the league instead of the struggling the Rebel are having.

Jake Lawson was originally from Nanaimo, BC, but played his Jr. A and WLA ball in Vancouver. He works somewhere in Vancouver now. Can't say exactly how far Vancouver is from Ottawa, but I think you get the idea.

I doubt that Lawson can't fly out every weekend due to work. Where there's a will, there's a way. If Air Watters can commute across the country, why can't Lawson? My guess is that it's more a matter of Rebel management not wanting to pay his travel expenses, when he's not going to turn the season around anyway.

Jake's problem is a lack of seniority at work. For a lot of us that makes it tough to miss three days every week or even cut it close and miss only two. It makes for 12 hours in the air in a 48 hour period, I have no idea how those other guys can pull that off every weekend.
