I hate doing this. Todd Bernhardt passed away last night in a Phili. hospital. He died because he took a shot into his chest last Saturday in pre game warm up when R.I.T. were going to play against Springfield College. His parents, brother, and sister were there by his side when he died. Todd's grandparents got the news around 8pm on Saturday. It looked liked Todd died when the Hawks/Power game was getting started. The Hawks had a table for donations for Todd's family before the game. There was moment of silent before the game started. And before the Amerks hockey game got sterted there was a moment of silent for Todd. Our thoughts and prayers are with Todd's family. More details will follow and I will pass them on when the information comes out.

Peace be with you Todd. Have the lacrosse gods take good care of you.

Memorial Services will be held at R.I.T. within the next few weeks. Details of those services will follow.

Unfortunately, I did not personally know Todd or his family. I only hope that the peace of mind of knowing that he was doing what he loved when this happened eases the pain of his family and friends.

Hug your loved ones a little tighter next time because you never know.

Here's hoping that Todd watches over us as we play the game we love.

Although I did not know Todd, the tears that fill my eyes as I read this thread go out to him & his loved ones. May Todd find peace in the heavens above & may his loved ones find strength knowing that Todd lives in their hearts. God Bless all of them.
