That is a swing and a miss, that's for sure. Hopefully they correct it.

Though on the other hand, this is just some local Braintree blog, so it's not like a huge faux pas. If they did that in the Globe it'd be another thing entirely. As it is, it just looks like an overeager wannabe local journalist forgot one of the cardinal rules: proofread ;).

For pro sports in Boston, a net gain (http://www.boston.com/sports/other_sports/lacrosse/articles/2008/08/10/for_pro_sports_in_boston_a_net_gain/)

Your right BlazerCannon, the Globe got it right,

In the June dispersal draft, the Blazers chose two players from the now-defunct Arizona Sting, including Dan Dawson, a 6-foot-5-inch forward who is considered one of the top talents in the league and looks to be the centerpiece of the Blazers franchise.

but it looks like the league will have a 45 second shot clock this year.

With a 45-second shot clock, and six men per team, instead of the 10 on an outdoor team, each game averages about 25 goals, said Fraser. "There's a lot of speed in box lacrosse and a lot of transition," he said. "And like the NHL, we have fighting, too."
