WARRIORS FALL TO CHAMPS

Champs hosted the Oshweken Warriors and came away with a 16-9 win. Craig Robertson earned the win in net. Leading Champs was Jackson Gair with 4 goals and 2 assists. Scoring 2 goals each were Matt Evans (2,2), Mike McNamara (2,4), Gavin Barrie (2,3), and Nicci Johnston (2,1). Singles went to Aaron Grayson (1,7), Steve Evans (1,2), and Mack O'Brien. Next action for Champs is Saturday night as they travel to Brooklin to take on the Merchants 7:30pm at the Luther Vipond Arena. Next home game is Friday June 25th, 8pm as they host the defending Senior Canadian Champion, Owen Sound Woddsmen. Come out and support the team as they look to move into first place.

Champs Sports Bar & Grille Senior Lacrosse Team is pleased to announce that the cancelled game on Friday May 21st against the Ohsweken Warriors, has been re-scheduled as follows:

Date: Sunday – July 18th
Time: 2.00 pm
Place: Peterborough Memorial Centre

This change in venue for our last game of the regular season was confirmed with the Peterborough Memorial Centre and will be played on the same carpet as used by the Peterborough Lakers Major Series Lacrosse Team.

The Warriors need to win this game to secure a place in the playoffs, so we fully expect a complete squad, hungry for victory.

Please join us at the air-conditioned Peterborough Memorial Centre on Sunday for the final regular season game of 2010 prior to the start of playoffs.

Playoff schedule, teams and times will be announced next week.

Champs won their final regular season game yesterday 12-10 over the Ohsweken Warriors. Game story available at http://www.champslacrosse.com Thank you to all those who came out to support Champs Lacrosse in Peterborough yesterday.

Playoff schedule will be posted on the website as soon as it is available. Game 1 will be played on Friday July 23, 8pm at the Asphodel-Norwood Arena. The opponent and the remainder of round one playoff dates are still to be determined.

A very entertaining team to watch.

Hopefully this team cam make a move to the 'M' Centre soon.

It would be great to watch the Lakers, Champs and the Jrs all the 'M' Centre.

Norwood is gonna have their hands full with Owen Sound who swept the Brooklin Merchants in three games :D

Game 1 of the OLA Senior B Final goes to Norwood who won 8-7 over Owen Sound. Game 2 is Thursday night in Owen Sound.

The winner of this best 3 of 5 series goes on to the Presidents' Cup being hosted by the Burnaby (British Columbia) Burrards of the WCSLL.

Owen Sound ties the final at one game apiece. The Woodsmen scored a convincing 15-8 win over Norwood tonight in Owen Sound. Game 3 is Friday night at the Memorial Arena in Peterborough.

Champs will host the Owen Sound Woodsmen in game 5 of the OLA Finals on Tuesday August 10th, 8pm at the PETERBOROUGH MEMORIAL CENTRE

We have been advised by the Peterborough Memorial Centre that parking will be available, with access only through the Lock Street entrance for Game 5 on Tuesday due to set up for the Peterborough Exhibition.
Fans are encouraged to access the Lock Street parking lot via Park Street to Braidwood Avenue in order to avoid the increased traffic on Landsdowne Street related to the Roger Neilson Drive closure.

The Owen Sound Woodsmen won the OLA Senior B finals 3 games to two with a 10-8 victory over Norwood in Peterborough last evening. Owen Sound now goes to Burnaby to play for the Presidents' Cup.......Woodsmen are going for the 3peat.
