The Rochester bird cage liner reported attendence of 5067 at the game. With the 3000 faithful from Albany, and 2000 Rochester fans ( i assume) that sounds correct. Of course, it is hard to guess with no tv coverage.

I was at the game and while there were a lot of Rochester fans, I doubt that it numbered 2,000. More like 500 - 1,000 tops. Believe it or not, the Times Union actually thought to put the Attack on the sports front page..... That's a step forward for coverage on them. So I think more people showed up because they saw something about it and figured it was worth a try.

Better yet, after the Rochester win the Attack made front page center and actually had more coverage than usual, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the upper section opened up for the championship game, especially with the Toronto fans I expect to show.

This is exactly what the Attack needed to get the attendance jump-started. I can honestly say from the last time I actually saw Attack fans band together and cheer as one was our very first game against then Pittsburgh Crossfire.

The championship is ours!!! GO ATTACK!!!

This is great news Albanyfirelaxer. I'm so glad to hear of the increased coverage. I really hope a win against Toronto saves this team. Even if Albany does lose (which I really hope doesn't happen), this increased coverage has got to help generate interest for next year with a team that will be a contender. I can't make it on Saturday but I hope a big crowd shows up for your team!
