Anyone for a Friday night at the Beach?
I'm thinking to take a trip this Friday. 8:00 start. Its Go Train accessible, so I can get stinking drunk before, during and after the game for a change!

Unfortunately, the Beaches have had to move the balance of their games for 2002 to Scarborough Centennial Arena (south side of Ellesmere, just west of Markham Road). Therefore, the games are no longer GO Train accessible. However, Scarborough Centennial is close to the 401! Ted Reeve, the Beaches normal home arena is putting the ice in to accomodate a hockey school.
Good, high scoring game last night with several lead changes. The Beaches finally prevailed in OT 15-14. Game 2 goes tonight in Peterborough at the Memorial Centre at 8 p.m.

Damn! The LaX gods really must not want a drunken Rockstar at any of their games!
I'll likely be there anyway. Go Beach!

Last night's game was at the opposite end of the spectrum from Monday's series opening 15-14 OT Toronto win. As the final score would indicate, this game was a defensive battle which saw the Beaches defence pitch a shutout for about the final 25 minutes of the game allowing their offence to score the three goals necessary to come back from a 4-2 deficit and secure the 5-4 win.
Rockstar, the Beaches would love to see you and as many other NLL Message Board participants as possible at Centennial Arena for Friday night's game as they try to put a stranglehold on this series. Hope to see you there.
