Yes! You win games with goals, not passes, and if a player's got the best shot available at that instant in time, take it. I've seen too many losses (including Buffalo) due to people not shooting and waiting, when they had a reasonably clean shot and were not in a PK situation. In fact, dare I say, this is why Buffalo came back to defeat Minnesota last week.

I don't mind his shoes...they're a good idea so his team pick him out easily. That's another reason he can't play in Rochester...I've never seen teal shoes. As for his hair, you only see that when his helmet comes off although he may have to see the Conehead soon for a new helmet. Even though I don't mind his shoes or his hair, I still don't want him on my team...and I think he is a very dangerous player. Of course, it's not my call but he would have to take a pay cut to play in Rochester.

Maybe Mark just uses really sticky mesh and the only way to get the ball out is to let loose howitzers on net?
this is the worst post ive ever seen. the point of an allstar game isnt to see who can pass the most. its to showcase the best talent in the league. mark did that. he was playing against the best defenders and the best goalies, neither stopped him. granted allstar games are watered down offensive affairs, but when you have a shot you take it, no matter the circumstances. he was also playing with the best in the east, who passed him the ball.

Ok, PLEASE keep in mind which Hawks fans are posting here that MS is a ball hog and they don't want him on their team. And it's far from "a lot".

The majority of Hawks fans would take him in a split second, trust me.

The other former Bandits players who went to Rochester did well!

Talking For a little fun

Are people from Philly really complaining about hair?? Your best player right now has some crazyhair in the picture on NLL, and believe me I'd take him on the Bandits in a heartbeat!

Speaking of crazy hair, Steenhuis may be famous, but, let's face it, who was more famous?

Tom Ryan, formerly of the Philadelphia Wings and the once-and-future Boston Blazers 2.0 Head Coach!

Default Meanwhile, isn't it eerie how Mark Steenhuis looks like Peter Frampton?

At least, the worst that can be said about Steenhuis...

.... is that he looks like Peter Frampton about 1976:

Indeed, I suspect that Mark Steenhuis was Frampton's secret "love child". If so, that wouldn't be good for Mark because Frampton currently looks like this:

Steenhuis Comes Alive!

I always thought he was more Justin Guarini-ish (who finished 2nd to Kelly Clarkson........Mmmmm, Kelly Clarkson .........in the first American Idol......in case anyone forgot who Justin Guarini is).

Oh yes! That is good! I had forgotten about him. I never watched much Idol, but I listened to a lot of Frampton.

Wow, I must have really said something to offend you or your opinion if its the worst post you've ever seen

I never said it was the point of an all star game to pass, but its generally what happens. Did you happen to catch the NHL all star game about a month ago? It was frustrating to watch, you just wanted the guys to start burying it, instead of passing and waiting for a perfect slam-dunk type goal. In lacrosse you only have 30 seconds so you have to speed up the process a bit, but a lot of guys are generous and modest and want to pass the ball around. I don't know what I said to make that the worst post ever - maybe you can explain it to me so I don't kill your braincells with my stupidity next time?

Also, Steenhuis is easily one of the nicest guys I've met in the NLL. Real easy to talk to and funny. Never once have I seen this "arrogance" in him. Hes probably one of the coolest guys I've met, along with Crosbie and Laverty who are also good dudes.

Bump this thread, at least the part of calling Steenhuis a ball hog.

That ball hog had a 9 point day today, with 7 assists. What a ball hog. Still at the stubborn people on here that would never want him on their team.

Funny that you would include the picture of Tom.

We Wings fans hated him before he joined the Wings and got a chance to talk to him.

He looked unusual and cocky but was more importantly a Wing killer. I believe that Mark falls in the same catagory.

Both players are tough as hell. Both are all-star quality and totally changed the outcome of games. And more importantly, both are class acts. I have enjoyed talking to both of them and watching them play (just not against us).

Thumbs down Gallagher

I'll never question his skills but as citizen I have to question his integrity. The game here he came in the box and I started my regular stuff with him . He proceeded to spit water in our direction ,no prob but would rather have it squirted but thats just me. So I started calling him Gallagher , then with my 12 yr old daughter sitting next to me starts telling me how he wants to F--- my wife and hes going to kick my A-- after the game. He did render me speechless I'll give him props for that. If Rich Kilgour hadn't done the same thing he might have given him credit for originality but just a classless move in my book. I did make a Dallasesque save. She asked me if I heard what he said I said yep he said mommy was hot and he wanted to talk to me after the game. If we ever do meet up at a party I'll be sure to explain my feelings about the incident.

Thumbs down Regular stuff?

Pray tell, what is your regular stuff? Nothing at all inciteful, nor antagonizing ... just good clean fun, right

Not that I'm justifying the player's use of profanity, however, I don't believe paying $25 or thereabouts gives fans the rights to chirp whatever they want at players on the floor.

Its not as bad as you think dude and yes I have said some questionable things but the F-bomb I leave at home even if my daughter isn't at the game. I was ready to charge a cover charge and a 2 drink min for the Minnesota guys this last weekend they were all cracking up. Usually I start on there names or the penalty they got, I don't go for family stuff. I almost always invite them back to stay longer. I am aware of my surroundings. Maybe if delfan sees this she can enlighten you on the atmosphere. I know the line and Philly or not they would not let me stay if I crossed it, trust me. I did lose it a little when LLord hit me with his stick earlier this year and security did come down. hmm another buttalo buttbandit. guy go figure

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt based on your response. I know you're an insitution in Philly ... just make sure you keep it clean enough so you stay out of an insitution

I was not a Steenhuis fan either until I met him in Toronto at the All Star Game party. He was super friendly and spent some time talking with us in a crowded bar filled with All-Stars and players that I am sure he would have rather been talking to. I was very frustrated because I wanted to hate him!

I would have him on my team in a minute. He is a Wing Killer.

felt exactly the same way about anyone named Kilgour! Now I just yell to yell at Richie just to yell at him, the same with some of the people who sit with us. I'll get up and point and yell stuff like I am only to make all them happy(pointing to the crowd) and how bout getting a beer after the game .
