After this weekends action the Calgary Roughnecks have secured the first playoff spot in the West. With the San Jose/Portland split there is now a log jam from 2nd to 6th and playoff spots still up for grabs with most teams having 4 games remaining.
Calgary - 9-3 Portland - 6-5 Colorado - 6-6 Minnesota - 5-7 San Jose - 5-8 Edmonton - 4-8 Here are the final matchups in the West Calgary • Portland x 2 • Rochester • Edmonton Portland • Edmonton • Colorado • Calgary x 2 • Minnesota Colorado • Rochester • San Jose • Edmonton • Portland Minnesota • San Jose • Edmonton • Portland • New York San Jose • Minnesota • Colorado • Toronto Edmonton • Portland • Calgary • Colorado • Minnesota This could make for some interesting games down the stretch. Wonder who likely has the toughest schedule and who will finish were? |

The Mammoth Have 3 out of the last 4 at the Pepsi center...and sure we may not win..but i would rather play at home then on the road.

Looks like Portland has the hardest road. Two games against Calgary, don't forget about Colorado and Minnesota. The two latters fighting it out for both a home playoff game and even more important holding on to their position in the standings.
Of course I like SJ chance of getting into the second season.

Portlands key game for making the playoffs, is next saturday against Colorado, a win would give Portland a 2:1 series tie breaker to go with there tie breaker on San Jose. with the number of head to head games left between teams fighting for the final spot, 7 wins and two tie breakers should SQUEAK you in.
